Pope ranked 4th on Forbes ‘most powerful people’ list

November 05, 2015

Forbes has published its 2015 list of the world’s most powerful people.

Pope Francis is ranked fourth, behind Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, and Barack Obama, and ahead of Xi Jinping, Bill Gates, and Janet Yellen.

“Pope Francis has made it his mission to transform the longstanding conservative image of the Catholic Church,” the US business magazine stated in publishing its rankings on November 4.

The Pope was also ranked fourth in 2014.
