Canadian bishops’ conference releases pastoral letter on refugees

October 27, 2015

The Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has released a pastoral letter on welcoming refugees.

“The immense and unprecedented refugee crisis today is heartbreaking, moving us to tears and urging us to act,” the bishops stated in their letter, which was released on October 26. “As leaders of the Catholic Church in Canada, we believe that discussion is not enough; this is a time for urgent action.”
