US thwarts plan to attack Pope during visit

American security officials have foiled plans for an attack on Pope Francis during the Pontiff's visit to the US, a senior Congressman has revealed.

"We have disrupted one particular case," said Rep. Michael McCaul, during a September 13 television interview. The Texan legislator said that he remains concerned about other potential security threats, and "we are monitorly very closely" to protect the Pontiff.

    Rep. Mike McCaul is from Texas not Pennsylvania.
