Welcome Syrian refugees, USCCB president urges

September 11, 2015

The president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called upon Americans to welcome Syrian refugees.

“I urge all Catholics in the United States and others of good will to express openness and welcome to these refugees, who are escaping desperate situations in order to survive,” Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville said in a September 10 statement. “Regardless of their religious affiliation or national origin, these refugees are all human persons-- made in the image of God, bearing inherent dignity, and deserving our respect and care and protection by law from persecution.”

Well yes if they are really Syrian refugees and not simply immigrants seeking to overrun the West in the name of Islam and in whose midst there would be terrorists. ISIS already announced a plan to overrun the West with "refugees." We cannot be blind to the threat posed by militant Islam. Many are willfully blind and seek "peace" at any cost. Appeasement emboldens terrorists.
