Biden says Pope Francis has revived Catholic social teaching

US Vice President has said that Pope Francis "has become a moral rudder for the world."
Biden, who is Catholic, said that the Pope was sounding a moral call on "some of the most important issues of our time, from inequality to climate change." The Vice President made his remarks in a statement in which he sought to demonstrate that the Pope's public statements have coincided with the main policy thrusts of the Obama administration.
As for the Pope's leadership within the Church, Biden said: "Pope Francis has breathed new life into what I believe is the central mission of our faith: Catholic social doctrine."

It would be interesting to know how Mr. Biden thinks the Holy Father has revived moral teaching. It can't be just about the environment; the Holy Father can't change church teaching on morality - all morality!!

Actually, while Biden is not exactly correct, his "take" on this Pope is the fault of this Pope. Never mind that we "can't always be talking about abortion", (or baby body parts for sale, or gay lifestyles), it's a pet peeve of mine that people who talk about Catholic social teaching always leave out the part about subsidiiarity.

To Biden: I guess you missed listening when the Pope spoke about abortion and about homosexual marriage.....or you just weren't listening: you did not want to hear! To the Pope: Don't you see what's happening here, Holy Father? Joe Biden agrees with you! You're clearly doing something wrong! Seek counseling! Get help! Save yourself! Change something! If Biden, supporter of abortion, gay marriage and all-round leftist, agrees with you, you can't be correct. If you don't,soon Obama may agree too!

It is like a true image of this government, especially of the clowneries of this vice president. It probably sounds convincing to many, if not the majority, of Catholics of our time. Sad, but true. But is it really true?? Of course, Biden’s political side would like to shove off the Catholic Church on this track, so there would be no more collisions on the true and real issues. It takes informed Catholics to discern these kind of word plays. God help us.

The US Vice President's remarks don't have much impact and are drowned out by his support of abortion and his participation in the least truthful administration in American history. 'Uncle Joe" must "walk the walk before he can talk the talk" and be taken seriously.
