Asia Bibi's father has been granted permission to visit her in prison, the Fides news service reports.
Soran Masih will be the first person allowed to visit the condemned Pakistani woman, other than her husband, Ashiq, and occasionally her five children.
Asia Bibi has been imprisoned for six years-- including five years on death row-- after being convicted of blasphemy against Islam. In July, Pakistan's supreme court suspended the death sentence that has been imposed on her, and agreed to hear an appeal in her case. Her lawyers insist that there is no credible evidence to support the charge against her.
