China: women perish in flood while defending cross

As Zhejiang’s provincial government continued its campaign to destroy church crosses, two elderly women who were staying in their church in an attempt to defend its cross perished as Typhoon Soudelor swept through their city.
The incident took place at Yangmei Protestant Church in Wenzhou, and the women’s bodies “were found a few hundred meters from the church the next morning,” according to a UCA News report.
