The Archdiocese of Krakow plans to make special arrangements to enable poor youngsters to attend World Youth Day in 2016.
Bishop Damian Muskus, a Krakow auxiliary who is coordinating arrangements for World Youth Day, is encouraging priests to make provisions for needy families to send their children to the event. He called for “sensitivity and solidarity with the poorest, so they won’t feel left out.”
Bishop Muskus said that the level of support for participants from poor families would necessarily be “a compromise between awareness of youth possibilities and organizational needs and costs.”
