Italian pastor says anti-immigrant demonstrators not welcome in church

An Italian pastor has posted a sign on the door of his parish church, “Racists are not allowed in this church.”

Father Gianfranco Formenton—a priest with a history of public controversy-- posted the sign at the church of Sant'Angelo in Mercole, in Spoleto, in an angry reaction to anti-immigration protests.

    Racism is not the unforgivable sin. I think it may be materially sinful for a cleric to turn away anyone who is seeking Christ.

    Where is his LOVE and FORGIVENESS? Obviously, he does not know how to handle sinners.
