Items stolen from French cathedral
July 10, 2015
Three chalices and a 13th-century episcopal ring were stolen from the cathedral in Cahors, a city of 20,000 in southwestern France, according to a regional newspaper report.
The theft took place on the night of July 5-6.
The thieves’ unsuccessful attempt to break through a cathedral door triggered an alarm, but they were able to enter through a screen window and leave without being apprehended.
