Al Azhar condemns ISIS, urges defeat by 'every possible means'

Al Azhar University, the Egyptian institution that is regarded as the leading intellectual authority of Sunni Islam, has condemned the “heinous” violence of the Islamic State, the AsiaNews service report.
Al Azhar said that world leaders should use “every possible means” to defeat the Islamic State, whose terrorist tactics are in “violation of all religious and humanitarian norms.”
