Egyptian government in systematic campaign to eliminate literature by Islamic extremists

The Egyptian government is removing extremist Islamic literature from libraries, bookstores, and mosques, the Fides news service reports.
Sheik Mohammed Abdel Razek, an official of the government’s religion ministry, said that his office is cooperating with the ministry of national security to eliminate jihadist literature. His office has already been promoting seminars designed to counteract the influence of extremists, and has warned Islamic officials that they will be held responsible for the materials used in their mosques.
