In a 27-0 vote, Greenland’s parliament recently approved same-sex marriage and the adoption of children by homosexual couples, according to a report by the Library of Congress’s Global Legal Monitor.
Greenland is an autonomous region of Denmark, and Rufus Gifford, the US ambassador to Denmark, praised the vote as “fantastic.”
Same-sex marriage is currently legal in 19 nations.
