Attack on priest in France

A priest wearing a cassock was grabbed from behind, choked, and punched in the face as he left a theater in Antibes, a city of 77,000 in southeastern France.
The victim, Father Laurent Giallo-Pierret, ministers at a local parish. His assailant was a 21-year-old South African tourist, a regional newspaper reported.
“Fortunately, many people came to assist me,” the priest said.
