Nepal's officials tell Mother Teresa's nuns: all aid must go through government

The Missionaries of Charity encountered government resistance when they brought aid to earthquake victims in Nepal.

Police who were escorting a group of Missionaries of Charity diverted them to a government office, explaining that aid could not be delivered without government approval. Bishop Paul Simick intervened to secure the release of the relief workers and their aid shipment, but the Missionaries of Charity were told that in the future they should let the government handle all aid.
