Nuns walk out of San Francisco Catholic high school to protest pro-homosexual program

April 23, 2015

Five women religious teaching at a Catholic high school outside San Francisco boycotted their own classes last week to protest a program that they regarded as sympathetic toward a gay-rights agenda.

The five nuns, members of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist order, explained in a statement to students that they would not be at school during a “Day of Silence,” which was sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network.

“We went home on Friday because what happened was inappropriate,” the sisters said. “We went home because we were made to feel uncomfortable and used for another’s agenda. We went home because the Catholic school and faith that we love was being compromised.”

The principal of Marin Catholic High School said that the school had not formally endorsed the Day of Silence.

Good for them. Let us not be bullied into acquiescence. The LGBT need us to be strong and hold them to higher standards where they can truly find joy.

I saw two students at our public high school with tape over their mouths that day, but otherwise it was totally ignored. That's probably what we all ought to do about it. Some things are best treated in silence. But I certainly respect these sisters; when I saw the original headline I thought just the opposite had happened. Thank God there are some faithful sisters left.

God bless the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. They stood up for Church teaching on Homosexuality to their students, to the parents of the students, to the other teachers, and to the school administration.

Gay pride, meet Catholic shame. The Catholic faith is about to enter the closet as the homosexual cultural tide sweeps over the world. If Marin Catholic High School can't resist it, who can?

Thank you Ssters. Compromising in a Catholc school to a culture that rejects the moral teachings of the Catholic Church, is a shameful exercise in spurning those very teachings. Thunderous applause to those Sisters who have forcefully displayed the spine that the principal lacks.

If the school did not endorse the program then how did it happen? What is wrong with the principal? Like so many their spines are like spagetti. Hooray for the nuns. God bless them. Those who set this up should be relieved or fired. Enough is enough. Must we be forced to swallow the poison the homosexual community is trying to feed us? Time to fight back on all fronts.
