Bishops call for participation in March for Marriage

The chairmen of the US bishops’ Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth and Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage have invited their brother bishops and the faithful to take part in the 3rd March for Marriage in Washington on April 25.
“The March will be an opportunity to stand for the good of marriage in our nation, to pray for our Supreme Court justices, and to demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of children,” said Bishop Richard Malone and Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, who describe the upcoming Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage as “the most important judicial ruling in our nation since the infamous Roe v. Wade decision declaring a constitutional right to abortion.”
