Police in India have revealed that a key suspect in the gang-rape of a Catholic nun is an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh who apparently bribed a border official to enter India.
Mohammad Habibui, one of seven men accused of participation in the rape, reportedly admitted that he entered West Bengal illegally and was involved in a series of petty thefts. However he and the other defendants deny that they were involved in the rape.
