Vatican cardinal visits Iraqi refugees in Jordan

Expressing Pope Francis’s closeness to persecuted Iraqi Christians, Cardinal Fernando Filoni visited two parishes in Amman, Jordan, which minister to refugees, as well as a school for 300 refugee children.
Cardinal Filoni, the prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, then traveled to Baghdad.
In addition, Bishop Tejado Munoz, undersecretary of the Pontifical Council Cor Unum, returned to Rome from a trip to Iraqi Kurdistan, where he delivered aid to refugees.
