Pope decries terrorist attack in Tunis

March 20, 2015

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, has sent a telegram of condolence in the Holy Father’s name following a terrorist attack on a museum in Tunis.

The Pontiff reiterated his “condemnation of acts against peace and the sacredness of human life” and assured the archbishop of Tunis of his prayers for the victims and their families.

Earlier, Cardinal Parolin himself had condemned the attack, describing it as “something most cruel and inhuman, truly unthinkable, to be condemned in the strongest possible terms.”
