Pope donates over 1,000 pounds of food to serve needy Roman neighborhood

Pope Francis has donated 1,100 pounds of food to a charitable agency that serves a poor neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome.

After visiting a parish in the Tor Bella Monaca district, the Pope made arrangements to supply canned vegetables, cheese, cereals, and other food items. Delivery is being arranged by Archbishop Konrad Krajewski, the papal almoner.
