Protestant evangelists beaten by police in India

Twenty Protestant evangelists were detained and beaten by police in Jaipur, a city of 3.1 million in northwestern India.
Following an intervention by a human rights group, police told the evangelists that “forced conversion” charges would be filed against them if they did not leave the city, according to a report from World Watch Monitor.
