Mosque torched near Bethlehem; militant Jews suspected

February 25, 2015

A mosque was torched near Bethlehem on February 25, the AsiaNews service reports. Militant Israeli settlers are suspected of the crime.

A fire was set in the mosque overnight, and graffiti were scrawled on the walls, mocking Islam. Police are investigating, but suspicion is focused on Jewish militants who insist that there must be “a price to pay” for Muslims and Christians living on Jewish land.
