Papal thanks for Vatican security officials

January 22, 2015

Pope Francis met on January 22 with members of the Vatican’s General Inspectorate for Public Security, thanking them for conducting their daily work “with professionalism and dedication.”

The Pope told the officials—who came to the private audience accompanied by their families—that they carry out a vital service in “importance for the faith, and of guaranteeing the security of millions of pilgrims.”
