Vatican raffling off papal items in charity fundraiser

January 06, 2015

A raffle of items owned by Pope Francis, organized to raise money for charity, will end on Thursday, January 7.

For weeks the Vatican has been selling raffle tickets for a variety of items, most of them donated to the Pope. The list of prizes includes wristwatches, a suitcase, bicycles, and-- as the grand prize-- a Fiat Panda automobile.

Tickets for the auction have only been available at the Vatican. The winning numbers will be announced on January 7.
