Vatican astronomer receives Sagan Medal

The American Astronomical Society has awarded Brother Guy Consolmagno its Carl Sagan Medal for Excellence in Public Communication in Planetary Science.
The Jesuit, who received the award on November 13, first began to work at the Vatican Observatory in 1993, and an asteroid has been named in his honor.
