Austrian president meets with Pontiff

Pope Francis met on November 13 with President Heinz Fischer of Austria.

A brief Vatican statement released after the meeting indicated that the conversation had centered on religious freedom and human rights, inter-religious dialogue, and international affairs, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
