Indonesia: Islamists thwart celebration of Mass

Members of Islamist groups threatened to burn down a parish in West Java if Catholics celebrated Mass there on November 9.
As a precaution, the priest removed sacred vessels from the parish and promised “there would be no more celebrations in the structure,” according to AsiaNews.
Two Islamic groups, which had previously attacked Protestant churches in the region, sent a series of warnings to the parish of St. Odilia. On November 9, dozens of Muslim militant surrounded the church, blocking entry.
