Pope receives Grenada’s leader

Pope Francis met on October 23 with Prime Minister Keith Mitchell of Grenada, a Caribbean nation of 110,000 that is 54% Catholic.

According to the Holy See Press Office, the two spoke about the good relations that exist between the Holy See and Grenada as well as the contribution made by Catholic educational, charitable, and social institutions. They also affirmed the importance of cooperation in promoting the common good and development.

The prime minister then met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Secretary for Relations with States.
