Caritas International linked to Brazilian group supporting abortion, homosexuality

October 07, 2014

Caritas International, the consortium of Catholic relief agencies, has formed an alliance with a group that supports legal abortion and homosexuality, and is heavily influenced by Marxism, the American Life League (ALL) has charged.

In an investigative report on the Brazil-based World Social Forum, ALL provides numerous examples of the group’s references to work for “reproductive rights” and “decriminalized abortion.” The group’s literature also has shown support for the campaign to promote gender identity and sexual diversity. Events sponsored by the World Social Forum have featured displays in which images of pregnant women hang on crosses, identified as “victims of fundamentalism” in a clear reference to Christian prohibitions on abortion.

Caritas International is a member of the international council of the World Social Forum, and has regularly supported the group’s events. Catholic Relief Services, the international relief agency supported by the US bishops' conference, has also joined in World Social Forum initiatives.

It is time that Bishops stand up for the truth and that Catholics cut off the money to these wolves in sheep's clothing. They have let in the devil by taking in federal funds and now are dancing with the devil and his minions. Send no more money.

The bishops, once again, align themselves with organizations that have different agendas. It was CRS and the Madagascar bishops last time, now this. I don't understand why it is so hard to deal with real Catholic organizations or is it that the USCCB can find any?
