New Jersey pastor relieved after abuse charges surface from long ago

A prominent priest in the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, has left his post after being accused of sexual abuse of a child.

The complaint against Msgr. George Trabold involves an incident that allegedly took place 40 years ago. Church officials have forwarded the complaint to local prosecutors and the archdiocesan review board will weight the evidence.
