Detroit priest admits to embezzlement from charity
October 03, 2014
A priest from the Archdiocese of Detroit has confessed in court to embezzling funds from a charitable fund, giving the money to a man with whom he had a sexual relationship.
In a statement read into the record in a Michigan court, Father Timothy Kane admitted that he had arranged to receive money from the Angel Fund, a charity set up for the poor, and funnel it toward Fonsha Reid and his family. The priest said: “I feel bad about what I’ve done.”
Father Kane said that he had met Reid while he was serving as a prison chaplain, and Reid was serving a sentence for manslaughter. Their relationship continued after Reid was released and subsequently jailed again after he was convicted on new felony charges.

I've noticed that when we follow the path of a purloining priest, often it isn't long before we discover that it was sexual perversion that first put him on that path.

This guy should be laicized immediately and prosecuted for the thefts he committed.
