Conditions in Gaza 'precarious' after bombing

September 10, 2014

Living conditions in Gaza are "still quite dire and quite unstable," the local director of Catholic Relief Services told Vatican Radio.

Matthew McGarry said that while an Israeli military offensive in Gaza has ended, the lives of residents are "quite precarious." Even before the offensive, he said, the supplies of electricity and potable water were uncertain; the Israeli bombing heightened those difficulties.

Emerging from the aftermath of the raids, McGarry said, "the focus has not yet shifted away from the immediate relief into recovery."

I'm sure the money is starting to pour in from Iran by now, but its weapons first, you know, and these terrorists need some travel time outside Gaza, too. Why the Palestinians put up with Hamas is anyone's guess.
