Respect of 'human ecology' will foster respect for environment: Cardinal Parolin

In an address to an organization of Italian farmers, Cardinal Pietro Parolin said that “human human ecology is a prerequisite for a proper environmental ecology.”

The Vatican Secretary of State said that farmers should be “encouraging the search for new styles of life which are more fraternal and more supportive for all mankind, and also creation.” The establishment of more fraternal ties among men, he said, would be the first step toward ensuring proper respect for the environment.
