West must respond to ISIS persecution: Italian bishops' leader

"We cannot remain silent in the face of the project to cancel Christians from the Holy Land and other places," the president of the Italian Catholic bishops’ conference said in an August 27 address.

Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco said that the murder to thousands of Christians is “an unacceptable disgrace,” against which “our consciences must rebel.” He said that Europeans would be guilty of “unforgivable cowardice” if they failed to respond.

    Cowaradice is in large supply these days. Since the U.S. is largely responsible for the hatred of Christians in the Holy Land and Middle East perhaps it should be the U.S. that does something to help the persecuted and fleeing Christians. How about rescuing these Christians and giving them a place to live right here in the U.S. We need more Christians here.
