Christian aid workers slain in Afghanistan

Two Finnish women who have worked for a Christian aid organization in Afghanistan since 1997 were gunned down in Herat, the nation’s 3rd-largest city.

“These women have given their lives-- now literally-- to help and serve the neediest of the needy in the hardest of places,” a friend told World Watch Monitor. “Helping the most marginalized Afghans-- women-- through mental health and psychiatry projects, they had forsaken an easy, comfortable life in Finland.”
