Egypt’s bishops may launch Catholic TV channel

The bishops of Egypt are seeking funds to launch a Catholic television channel, according to a report by the Toronto-based Catholic Register.
“The Protestants have four channels in Egypt,” said Father Henri Boulad, director of the Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria, Egypt. “The Catholics have none and this is a shame … We have no means of conveying our message to the people, to the population, which is a shame.”
