Dates set for Pope's trip to Sri Lanka, Philippines next January

Pope Francis will travel to Sri Lanka and the Philippines next January.
The government of Sri Lanka announced on June 10 that the papal visit would be on January 13 to 15; the government said that Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith of Colombo had confirmed the dates.
Pope Francis had already revealed that he would visit Sri Lanka for 2 days in January, continuing on to the Philippines. The dates for the trip had not previously been disclosed.
The trip will be the 2nd visit to Asia for Pope Francis, who is due to travel to South Korea in August.
