Egyptian security forces have averted a terrorist attack on St. Demiana’s Monastery, according to an Egyptian news site.
Copts United reported that police in Dakahlia Governorate, which is located northeast of Cairo, seized a car full of explosives outside the women’s monastery, which was built on the site of the saint’s tomb and original fourth-century monastery.
The saint founded the first Coptic monastic community of nuns.
