Be joyful evangelizers, Pope tells members of Catholic Action
May 05, 2014
Addressing 7,000 members of Catholic Action, Pope Francis said that parishes need the lay association’s apostolic dynamism. “So many times we have Jesus closed in parishes with us, and we do not go out and do not let him get out.”
The joy of encountering the risen Christ, Pope Francis added, must be internalized so that evangelizing may be efficacious. He advised the members of Catholic Action to “stay with Jesus,” “go out,” and “rejoice,” and to avoid temptations to “quiet,” “intimism,” and “formal seriousness.”
“We ask above all for a great and merciful heart, which desires the good and salvation of all,” he added.

When Jesus was evangelizing, He encountered all sorts of people who liked parts of what he taught, but they didn't like all of it, and therefore they walked away from Him. The same thing is happening today. I'd like to know what Pope Francis thinks should be taught when we evangelize. Everything or just parts of what Jesus taught?
