3 US Jesuit colleges hold events on deviant sexuality as Lent begins
CWN - February 26, 2009
The American Jesuit universities marked National Catholic Colleges Week-- and the beginning of Lent-- with events "celebrating extramarital sex, homosexuality, cross-dressing, and pornography," the Cardinal Newman Society notes. Georgetown University hosted "Sex Positive Week," with appearances by defenders of pornography and "open marriage." Loyola University in Chicago continued its "Color of Queer Film" series. And Seattle University held "Transgender Awareness Week." Patrick Reilly, the president of the Virginia-based Cardinal Newman Society, said: "Faithful Catholics have good reason to be outraged and heartbroken."
