$24.5M donated to typhoon relief in US special collections

Special collections undertaken in the dioceses of the United States to aid the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan have raised $24.5 million, according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
$6.4 million was designated specifically for typhoon relief; the remaining $18.1 million will be split evenly between humanitarian relief and church reconstruction.
Several American dioceses donated an additional $2.9 million directly to Catholic Relief Services.
