English priest says 'gay marriage' was faked to help friend find work

March 24, 2014

A Catholic priest in England has admitted that he entered into a civil union with a Pakistani immigrant, to help the man secure legal permission to work in Great Britain.

Father Donald Minchew, a former Anglican cleric who is now a Catholic priest, confessed that the "same-sex marriage" was a sham. Neither he nor his friend is homosexual, he insists. Father Minchew was married; although his wife is deceased he is the father of four children.

At the direction of England's Anglican ordinariate, a statement was read to the congregation at Father Minchew's parish in which he apologized for the scandal caused. Contacted by the Daily Mail for comment, the priest said: "You are talking to a ruined man."

    >>Contacted for comment, the priest said: "You are talking to a ruined man." << The priest broke both the religious and the civil laws in an alleged attempt to help another man. What poor choices - what dire consequences. He wasn't as shrewd as a serpent and as innocent as dove.
