Cardinal Dolan seeks state approval of educational tax credits
March 19, 2014
Cardinal Timothy Dolan has urged New York state legislators to approve $300 million in education tax credits.
In a lobbying trip to Albany, the state’s capital, Cardinal Dolan said that donations encouraged by the tax credits would help make parochial and private schools viable, and provide scholarship money for needy students. “We’re talking about our kids,” he said. “Our kids are going to benefit from this.”
