Jewish hospital decries bid to ban religious garb in Quebec

The Jewish General Hospital in Montreal has announced that it would defy a proposed law to ban distinctively religious apparel in public institution in Quebec.
Noting that the law would prohibit health-care personnel from wearing Jewish religious garments and symbols, the Jewish General Hospital denounced the proposal as “patently discriminatory.”
The legislation, known as Bill 60, would ban “objects such as headgear, clothing, jewelry or other adornments which, by their conspicuous nature, overtly indicate a religious affiliation.” Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal has criticized the measure.

The interested reader should note that no catholic hospital whatsoever is left here in Quebec. Not because of a forced government takeover, but rather because the religious institutions were more than happy to surrender the keys in the sixties. As for the attitude of the Jewish General Hospital, every Christian in the Province of Quebec should commend it and feel inspired by it.

... and where are the Canadian Catholic Institution and the Church prelates??? ... perhaps participating in homosexual celebrations of other "elevated" individuals ...
