Pope says Mass at tomb of Bl. John Paul II

Pope Francis celebrated Mass on October 31 in the St. Sebastian chapel of St. Peter’s basilica, where Blessed John Paul II is buried.

The Pope, who usually celebrates his morning Mass at the Domus Sanctae Marthae, where he resides, joined a group of Polish pilgrims for the Thursday-morning Mass. In his homily the Pontiff contrasted the zeal of St. Paul, who maintains a strict focus on Jesus Christ, with the apathy of the people of Jerusalem.
