Pope to visit Middle East in 2014?

Catholic World News - October 08, 2013

A Lebanese newspaper has reported that Pope Francis might visit that country next year, as part of a tour of the Middle East.

The As Safir newspaper says that the Pope is planning a trip to encourage the Christians of the Middle East, and will confer with the patriarchs of the Eastern churches in November to further his plans.

The Vatican has not made any announcement about a papal trip to the Middle East.
