French priest indicted in thefts of sacred vessels

A French priest has been indicted for the theft of 40 sacred vessels, some of which date to the seventeenth century, according to media reports.
Bishop Maurice Le Bègue de Germiny has suspended Father Etienne Doat from his ministry; the priest was ordained in 2004.
