Pope meets with presidents of Honduras, Hungary

Pope Francis spoke with the presidents of Honduras and Hungary in separate meetings on September 20.
In his talk with President Porfirio Lobo Sosa of Honduras, the Pope concentrated on Church-state relations, the country’s Catholic heritage, the work of the Church in education and health care, and the importance of supporting healthy family life.
With President Janos Ader of Hungary, the Pope spoke on the effects of the continuing economic crisis within the European Union, the defense of the environment, and the cause of peace in the Middle East, especially in Syria. The Pope also spoke about Church-state relations in Hungary and the defense of family life.
