Israel blocks relief ship from Gaza; archbishop on board

The Israeli navy has turned back a ship carrying humanitarian supplies to Gaza, explaining that the ship might have been bringing weapons for Hamas. One of the volunteers on the ship was Archbishop Hilarion Capucci of Caesarea, an 84-year-old Melkite Catholic prelate. Israeli officials seized and searched the Lebanese ship, later admitting that there were no weapons on board. The crew and volunteers were sent to Syria.
